Some office renovations start with a fresh coat of paint. This one started with a dumpster.

When Detail Design Inc. needed to fully renovate their Houston office space, they engaged Newman Construction — the in-house construction division of Newman Commercial Real Estate, operating as NTN Construction — to take the project from a stripped interior to a finished, move-in-ready workplace.

The work was completed in April 2026 on a 45-day schedule.

The Scope

The project was a full interior renovation. Demo crews stripped existing flooring down to the slab, pulled ceiling tiles, cleared outdated lighting, and removed bathroom fixtures, doors, and millwork before new construction began.

From there, the team rebuilt the space from the floor up. New luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout. A full 2x2 ceiling system replaced the old grid, paired with 55 upgraded LED flat panel fixtures that significantly improved both light quality and energy efficiency. All 16 interior doors were replaced with modern shaker-style units, trimmed and hardware-set.

Both the men’s and women’s bathrooms received full gut renovations — new fixtures, partitions, quartz countertops, undermount sinks, LED backlit mirrors, and updated accessories throughout. The breakroom kitchenette was rebuilt with new cabinetry, quartz countertops, and updated fixtures. HVAC diffusers were replaced and reconnected, and the entire space was repainted from floor to ceiling.

The Result

The finished space is clean, bright, and purpose-built for the way Detail Design Inc. works. The transformation reflects what Newman Construction brings to tenant improvement and office renovation work: disciplined execution, clear scope management, and a finished product delivered on schedule.
